IN MEMORY

Dear Mr. Stanbury,

About sixteen years ago my young daughter and myself visited a South Wales Papillon Club show in Usk, looking for a puppy, and were put in contact with Jane Lewis and Carol Harry, of the “Glyncae” affix.

Some weeks later we collected Bracken, “Glyncae Salt and Pepper” from their home near Bridgend, and he became a much-loved part of our family until his death two weeks ago.

Bracken was a fantastic little dog (a son of Inixia Bright Spark), and though not of show quality, had a wonderful personality, competing in both agility and obedience with great panache, and, often, a wicked sense of humour. Catherine and he enjoyed many K.C.J.O. (now YKC) events and camps, and represented Wales at Crufts over a five year period, in their competitions.

After putting together a montage in memory of him, it suddenly occurred to me that his breeders might like to see it, but I have completely lost contact with them and suspect that they are no longer involved in Papillons. I know that Sue was quite friendly with them at that time and wonder whether anyone in the club knew of their whereabouts and would be able to pass on the link to his montage:

We were incredibly lucky to have such a special little dog, and would like his breeders to know that he had a long and happy life, and was dearly loved.
